Winding around the mountain roads you can see the Maury Valley stretch out; gentle with length, which is how this high class wine could be defined.
60% Grenache / 40% Mourvèdre
Barely translucent, a deep dark purple.
The nose is full of dark fruits (cherries, blackberry cream) but also a pinch of cocoa.
Round and ample on the palate, with a dense and velvety matter, and the tension of the schists.
The finish is firm with ripe tannins. The cherry is ever-present before moving on to pepper to end on the cocoa.
Mixed grills; red meat and poultry...
Serve at 14°C
